Well, I officially have a complete rough draft of the last two chapters of The Violet Hour! It still needs editing and beta-ing, but the story is, in essentials, done. Crazy.
AND TO CELEBRATE, look at the amazing paperback cover that leontinemay designed for me! Oh man, I love it. We were talking about how The Violet Hour is the kind of story ideally suited to reading in beat-up paperback form, something you discover in a house at the beach and curl up on the sofa to read during a lazy afternoon. Jesus Christ I need a Tumblr that collapses reblogs. I do not need to see one copy of each Benedict-smoking photo from each blog that I follow. This is not a problem with the blogs I follow, it is a problem with the design of Tumblr, and it is further made annoying by the Tumblr-design problem that I have to find the post I want to reply to in my dash in order to reply without reblogging, so despite having said post up in another tab already, here I am paging back though 34 pages so far of my smoking-Benedict-infested dash trying to find that post.
